Gabriella Quevedo is a Swedish guitarist whose playing style is better known as ‘finger style guitar’. Which means that the guitarist plays the background chords and the lyrics at the same in the guitar time without singing. In other words, they make the guitar sings the song by itself and also make the background arrangements. Gabriella is 16 years old and her natural talent was in part inherited from her father who is also a guitarist with Argentinian roots, as she puts it. She started to play when she was 12 and from there, her parents saw great potential. She has played along great musicians like the great Sungha Jung and the incredible Tommy Emmanuel, among others. Here’s a little taste of what this beautiful young woman is capable to do.
1. Aerosmith – I Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing
2. Bon Jovi – Livin’ on a Prayer
3. Led Zeppelin – Stairway to Heaven
4. Metallica – Nothing Else Matters (one of her best interpretations)
